About the Role
Martio is seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily supermarket operations. The successful candidate will help manage staff, maintain operational efficiency, ensure excellent customer service, and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily supermarket operations.
- Support recruitment, training, and supervision of employees.
- Ensure shelves remain fully stocked and well presented.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Assist with staff scheduling and attendance management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.
- Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving business targets.
- Prepare operational reports for store management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shopping environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of retail or supermarket supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management and retail operations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
- Basic computer skills and reporting knowledge.
- English communication required. Italian language skills are an advantage.
